Maximum productivity with minimal space requirements: Compact simultaneous turning machines for modern manufacturing
With the TTS36 and TTS52, SPINNER is expanding its TTS series with two new simultaneous turning machines for bar machining up to 36 and 52 mm, respectively. These models combine high productivity, precision, and automatability with a particularly compact machine design, thereby enabling a cost-effective entry into simultaneous machining.
Two turrets for maximum productivity
The machine design of the TTS36 and TTS52 is based on two turrets, each with twelve BMT45 tool stations, two high-performance motor spindles, and a standard Y-axis. Thanks to 2-channel programming, both turrets can be controlled independently of one another, and machining sequences can be optimally parallelized.
This enables complex workpieces to be machined efficiently and cycle times to be reduced. The main spindle, sub-spindle, and driven tools reach speeds of up to 10,000 rpm, laying the foundation for dynamic and precise manufacturing.
Compact Design for Flexible Production
With a machine length of only about 2.4 meters, the TTS36 and TTS52 offer high performance in a small footprint. The 90-degree slant bed ensures unobstructed chip removal while also providing good access to the work area for process monitoring and tool changes.
The transversely movable sub-spindle significantly expands the machine’s range of applications. In addition to conventional workpiece transfer, it also enables the machining of eccentric geometries and can be used as a tailstock.
Depending on the model, bar capacity is available in 36 or 52 mm. In addition, workpieces held in chucks up to approximately 200 mm in diameter can be machined.
Integrated Automation for Cost-Effective Series Production
For automated production processes, the new models can be equipped with a 6-axis robot integrated directly into the machine. This compact automation solution handles the loading and unloading of workpieces, reduces non-productive time, and enables exceptionally quick workpiece changes.
This makes the TTS36 and TTS52 ideally suited for series production and projects with high demands on productivity and process reliability.
The machines are available with the latest control systems from Siemens or Fanuc and can be flexibly integrated into a variety of production environments.
