Technical details
Description
The TTS125-XL is a highly productive machine that can be expanded with two or three or four turrets for processing bar stock up to 125 mm, but also for Chuck machining up to approx. 500 mm.
A 90 degree inclined bed allows free chip flow and optimum accessibility for the operator to the work area when monitoring the process and changing tools on the turrets.
With a Spindle distance of 2,100 mm, the working area is also ideal for large, long workpieces thanks to the extended bed. The motorized spindles with 125 mm bar capacity are unique and offer maximum power, torque and bar capacity and can be installed both as main and Sub-spindle.
Modern SPINNER Switching turrets with Servo drive for the swivel movement and high speeds in the driven tool thanks to direct drive allow short cycle times and high-performance machining even with large Chuck machining.
Variable work area configuration
Duplex

In the DUPLEX version, the work area is equipped with two turrets. One turret is located at the top right and one at the bottom left of the working area.
TWIN

In the TWIN version, both turrets are located at the top, which is particularly advantageous for special applications, e.g. with several Steady rests at the bottom.
TRIPLEX

The TRIPLEX version has three independent turrets with two Y-axes and is usually used for highly productive applications and significantly reduces the achievable machining times even further.
QUADREX

The QUADREX version has FOUR independent turrets with two Y-axes and sets new standards in productivity with up to four simultaneous cutting edges on bar stock or large chuck parts up to D=500 mm.
Flexible Steady rest for precise machining

As a special feature of this series, a Steady rest can be placed on a Cross slide in the lower area of the working area. This is mounted on the X/Z slide instead of a turret and therefore enables movement in both axes within the work area. The Steady rest can follow the machining in the longitudinal direction (Z) and can also be adjusted in the transverse direction (X). In addition, it can be moved completely out of the working area to a parking position under the spindle to ensure free chip fall.
It is possible to arrange a Steady rest on the left under the Main spindle, to place it mirror-inverted on the right or even to use two Steady rests. This flexibility makes the machine particularly suitable for mechanical engineering, especially for machining large and long workpieces.
A CNC tailstock is also available instead of the Sub-spindle
